May 2008
Dear Friends and Collectors,
Lots of news to report so read on everyone.
• Travels: It is hard to believe that we stayed in the United States this winter and behaved ourselves. Well not really behaved but did not venture abroad. So ... we are planning a big one for January 2009. Only in the preliminary stages at this point but Israel, Jordan and cruising the Nile are in the making. If the world stays calm and our season goes well we will celebrate 40 years of marriage and Judi’s 60th. floating down the Nile. Our last visit to Egypt was in 1978 and we hope the desire to return does not disappoint.
• Greg’s Work/Gallery: Greg has been a very busy boy this winter and the fruits of his labor are overwhelming. February found us at the Reef Gallery on Key Largo for a one-man exhibit and early April he and Becky Frame exhibited for a second time on Skidaway Island, Georgia. This is our winter home and has become very near and dear to us. The quite and beauty of this special Low Country island keeps us warm and happy until we can return to Nantucket.
The Sconset gallery on Nantucket has closed after five years. We found that we could not be two places at once when working the busy season on Nantucket. Greg now will be able to focus all of his artistic energy to the gallery in town. One special exhibit for the 2008 summer season are planned. “Our American Flag” opening July 3rd . Please try to attend if on island and check our web site for dates, times, etc.
• The Future???: The adventure continues. You never know what life is going to throw at you so we try to live everyday to the fullest. Family and friendships are the best plus we treasure our summers on Nantucket. Someday we might stop working and try just summering on the island. What a change that would be!
Please visit our web site again for the ever changing art and specialty gifts and if you find yourself at the Sconset Market this season stop in and check out our custom gifts designed for Mark Donato.
Happy Spring,
